St. Caimin's is a  state of the art, co-educational Community School built as a public private partnership and one of five of its kind in the country. It operates under strict Department of Education and Science regulations. The Board of Management consists of representatives of the trustees, parents and staff. The trustees of the school are Most Rev. Kieran O'Reilly, Bishop of Killaloe, Sisters of Mercy and Co. Clare Vocational Education Committee. The private partner in the undertaking, Hochtief, is responsible for the upkeep of the school. The school includes a magnificent sports hall and fully equipped gymnasium for the benefit of students and the wider community.
